Cleaning the air

I need to ask you ladies what is your process for cleaning the air in your work area? Is it a combination of things that you use? If so, what things seem to work for you the best? I'm doing alot of practicing at home right now and it gets very bothersome for my son. (nail polish alone bothers him lol) Thanks alot!

Hi Lesia! Well, when I am in the salon I use this thing that is my version of a diaper genie. It is simply one of those airtight, lockable, large plastic drink cups. I get them from the dollar store. I line it with a plastic grocery store bag and I place any items that have come in contact with anything that has a powerful odor (like cotton with polished removed or paper towels with acrylic liquid wiped on them) in there and it completely kills the smell. If you use this in conjunction with a table vent you should be okay. If you don't have a vented table, crack the window and use one of those little clamp on fans. That always works REALLY well for me! Hope that helps!

Thanks alot for the info and what a great idea using the lockable drink cup! I've been out of nails for a little while and now I'm practicing like crazy which means fumes, fumes and more fumes! Thanks again.

Hi Lesia, I use a Air Purifer I got from Home Depo (Honeywell Permanent True HEPA Air Purifier) It really helps with the smell.......BUT it's like running an AC on high, it can really make the room cold!!
